A project that plays on contrast to reveal harmony.
“Equilibri materici” (Material Balances) is the name of the project that characterizes the interiors of a newly built villa in Calice, conceived as a continuous dialogue between opaque and reflective surfaces, clean lines and visual softness, deep tones and calibrated brightness. The result is an environment with a strong but measured personality, where every element is designed to blend into a coherent and refined narrative.
The heart of the project is the kitchen: full volumes, handle-less doors, soft-touch surfaces, and textured materials combine to create a contemporary and functional environment. The perfectly integrated induction hob, the island with a light wood snack peninsula, and the play of perspectives created by the suspended cylindrical hood make this space a balance between aesthetic rigor and everyday comfort.
The living area opens up around a central wall unit that houses a bioethanol fireplace and TV, a sculptural element that organizes the space and defines its flow. Smoke gray and anthracite tones set the tone for the rooms, softened by natural wood inserts and furniture with fluid lines. Natural light, filtered through large windows, amplifies the perception of space and enhances the materiality of the surfaces.
The bathroom, designed as a place for relaxation and intimacy, surprises with a decorative botanical-themed wall, which serves as a backdrop for a freestanding sink on a suspended cabinet. Round mirrors, spot lighting, and matte black faucets complete a space that gracefully combines aesthetics and functionality.
“Equilibri materici” is a project in which nothing is left to chance. A calibrated set of choices, materials, and perspectives to convey the contemporary identity of a home that focuses on the essentials without sacrificing character.
