Among the peaks of Ossola, in the heart of Baceno, a project is taking shape that tells the story of the area’s identity through materials, light, and attention to detail.
The new suites at the Albergo Vecchio Scarpone have been completely redesigned to offer a warm, intimate experience deeply rooted in the Alpine territory, but with a contemporary look.
Brushed wood adorns wardrobes, paneling, and niches, creating a welcoming and timeless interior landscape. The fabrics, in deep shades of blue, red, and taupe, interact with the local stone walls, sinks carved into the rock, and lighting effects designed to accompany every moment of the day.
Each room is designed as a small refuge. Niches with custom-made seating and photographs of animals and alpine landscapes evoke a silent dialogue with the outside environment. The rooms open onto warm, textured bathrooms, where the sensory shower with chromotherapy transforms the daily routine into a ritual of well-being.
In each suite, the balance between design and authenticity translates into enveloping atmospheres that are elegant but never distant. A project that restores value to the essential and celebrates the mountains not only as a landscape but as a way of life.
