A small venue in the heart of Domodossola is transformed into a visual and sensory experience that conveys irony, substance, and memory. The restyling project for La Cadrega stems from a simple but powerful idea: to give identity to a space through its name and turn it into a story.
The ceiling comes alive with a veritable art installation: a collection of chairs suspended in the air, as if frozen in time. They are all different, worn, imperfect. And each one seems to tell a story. The reference is clear, yet surprising: the “cadrega,” chair in dialect, which here becomes sculpture, symbol, and manifesto.
The environment is dominated by textured surfaces: the wallpaper, raw and precious at the same time, envelops the walls with a tactile texture, amplified by soft, theatrical lighting. The central chandelier, a classic crystal chandelier, adds a touch of unexpected elegance that contrasts with the more urban and lived-in atmosphere of the counter.
The bar, the operational heart of the venue, is simple yet refined, framed by bottles on display and glasses arranged like jewels. Everything here speaks of unpretentious hospitality, but also of style and personality.
Today, La Cadrega is much more than just a bar: it is an aesthetic statement, a balance between design and memory, between irony and atmosphere. It is a place that invites you to sit down, or rather, to let yourself be surprised.
